This dance is dedicated to one of the most typical job of the Feltre and Belluno valley: the shoemaker.

During the performance of the dance it's possible to see some of the operations that the shoemaker made to make up a pair of shoes: beating the upper, needling the leather and finally polishing, or, better, greasing the shoe.

The animal fat used to grease the shoes enabled to make them soft and waterproof.

The end is singular, because the brushes, that were used to polish the shoes proudly showed by the dancers, are tossed in the air.
