It's one of the most wonderful landscapes of Belluno province, at the foot of the Dilomites. A few people village, that hides the ancient and sound folk                          wisdom between the green folds of the hills, on the narrow roads that climb the mountains, in the haylofts, between the outside house stairs and in the still existing stables.

Cesiomaggiore has an eminent history, well-documented by a milestone erected in Emperor Claudio Augusto's honour, and attested even by its name, that came from the Gens Caesia. A family that went to garrison a part of the Claudia Augusta Altinate street.
New houses didn't change the features of a rural tradition village in which it's still possible to see old peculiarities, as well as the frenetic rhythm of modern life didn't change the simple way of living, connected with the nature and beat from the seasons.
